Public-beta data notice

Your plan is local. Product metrics are optional.

Last updated 31 July 2026. This notice explains the beta's deliberately small data boundary. CH/OS is designed so that ordinary personal planning does not need an account or a cloud profile.

Your profile and plan

Your profile answers, journeys, completion history, notes and saved simulations are stored in this browser. They leave the device only when you deliberately export a backup or open an external service. Clearing browser storage can remove data that has not been exported.

Optional aggregate beta events

If you actively choose to help improve the beta, CH/OS may send coarse events such as setup completed, action completed, backup exported or calendar exported. An event also contains the app version, broad device class, sanitized campaign labels and a broad referrer category.

CH/OS does not put profile answers, canton, financial values, action topics, notes, free text, raw page URLs, AI questions, IP addresses or a stable analytics identity into the beta event dataset.

The choice is off by default. You can change it later in Profile > Data. Declining does not reduce app functionality.

Purpose, processor and retention

The events are used only to understand beta activation, useful actions, return use and product quality. They are accepted by a Cloudflare Worker and stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine. Cloudflare necessarily receives the network request to operate that service, but the CH/OS Worker does not copy request IP addresses or user-agent strings into its event dataset. Cloudflare currently documents that Analytics Engine data is stored for three months.

Provider details: Cloudflare Analytics Engine limits and retention.

Ask AI and external links

Ask AI is a separate, optional flow. It shows the context that will be shared before transmission and uses the external AI provider selected by the user. Official sources, practical tools and feedback links also open third-party sites with their own data practices. Beta product metrics never contain AI conversations.

Questions or corrections

Use the in-app feedback control. When no external beta form is configured, CH/OS prepares a privacy-safe prompt that you can copy back to the person who invited you. Do not include exported backups, financial details, permit details or other sensitive personal information in feedback.
